The Training Development Manager in the Health Solutions Group will be responsible for building and delivering effective training programs designed to educate both internal and external audiences about the implementation, management and usage of our healthcare IT solutions. Our customers are large healthcare institutions around the country that use our mission-critical healthcare IT solutions to deliver patient care. This is a newly created position and a rare opportunity with a small, fast-growing, entrepreneurial group. Training will range from deep technical training to end-user application training, across a range of delivery methods, and will require the development of curriculum, training materials/documentation, delivery of training sessions.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, build and implement training programs for internal and external audiences
- Create effective training materials for formal and informal learning.
- Deliver and evaluate training sessions
- Contribute to and maintain a comprehensive training curriculum across a range of audiences ranging from highly technical to clinical end users
- Work closely with product development, implementation and technical support teams to develop the right training content
- Build mechanisms to measure effectiveness and continuously improve training methodologies
- Involve early adopter customers in the development of training programs by actively seeking out feedback and input
Ideal candidates will have the following knowledge, qualifications and experience:
- At least 4-6 yrs experience in training development for enterprise software systems with healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, unstructured startup business environment
- Knowledge of learning preferences and challenges within healthcare organizations
- Experience developing and implementing content with global stakeholders for sales, marketing, implementation, support and customer learners
- Evidence of applied Human Performance Improvement processes and strong Instructional Design practices within work samples including ILT, labs, OLT, job aids, simulations and evaluation materials
- Experience producing informal learning content in collaboration, social networking and web2.0 tools.
- Competent use of multimedia development tools, and evaluations technologies
- Experience adopting Microsoft internal content development resources – (templates, style guides, knowledge management tools) and experience managing courses on a Learning Management System
- Demonstrated exceptional communication, facilitation, group presentation and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Able to travel as needed (up to 30-50%)
