This Clinical Systems Analyst position is located in Atlanta, GA (Vinings). Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Systems Management, or related medical field or equivalent and at least five years systems analysis experience, preferably in a healthcare environment; significant experience with Clinical Systems Applications preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands-on clinical experience/exposure required; preferably in a laboratory or medical technology position. Responsible for supporting enterprise wide project plans addressing goals, deadlines, testing implementation and post live support of clinical systems applications. Develops and maintains clinical systems applications problem analysis and resolution techniques. Analyzes and resolves clinical systems applications problems quickly and efficiently. Supports activities that require specialized clinical systems applications analysis. Performs investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine project feasibility. Assists in developing project cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth including development of alternatives leading to recommendations for new clinical systems applications or systems changes. Prepares periodic and/or as requested status reports that quantitatively and qualitatively inform of project progress and results. Assists in system-wide software installation, modification and support. Troubleshoots clinical systems applications problems in a timely manner. Develops and maintains clinical systems applications specific support documentation where needed. Serves as a contact for the end-users in their area of expertise. May assist other IS employees with their job duties as requested. May answer Help-Desk calls. Must be able to handle work schedules to address project deadline and performance. Subject to irregular work hours & must participate in the department on-call rotation. Good communication and interpersonal skills necessary. Knowledge of clinical information systems and applications technology. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology. Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills required. Ability to think logically and apply knowledge and experience to solve information technology issues. Experience with NextGen EMR a definite plus. Must have reliable transportation to travel to all PMCC locations and transport equipment if necessary. Occasionally required to work overtime and weekend work. FT Days Mon. - Fri. flexible hours.
