The right candidate will be a Nurse with Significant CIS Training Experience, LOCAL, and Strong Writing Skills. Has to have Eclipsys knowledge
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Training Project Manager, provides support for deploying the CIS training programs, including: defining and developing training curriculum including all course materials, reference materials, and exercises for the end-users; evaluating end user satisfaction with training; managing online documentation, the training databases and associated administrative tools; providing support for logistics (e.g., scheduling, communication, room setup). Requires knowledge and experience in healthcare. Experience in large project environment preferred (e.g., system implementation). Experience in training content design, instructional design and developing online training materials
The following are essential job accountabilities:
Implements assigned components of the CIS Training Strategy and Plan; interacts with other CIS team members, the vendor and users as required to complete work
Learns assigned applications and associated user work flows with assistance from other CIS team members; applies application and work flow knowledge to the development of training databases, training materials and other requisite deliverables
Performs detailed system design and implementation of CIS training environments, development of training data, application configuration and set up of administrative support tools
Assists in the development and delivery of training curriculum for targeted users; supports collection and analysis of participant test results, session evaluation forms etc.
Functions as team leader in the execution of training events, insuring that CIS team members are coordinated, the various training environments, user devices and other preparations are completed on time.
Provides support in training system operational problem areas and implements suitable solutions.
Provides support to CIS instructors and end-users for assigned applications; may also instruct training classes
Assigns tasks to staff in absence of the manager.
Assists other department staff members as necessary.
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to maintain certification/licensure, and/or keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
Attends meetings as required, and participates on committees as directed.
Maintains a positive image when dealing with department personnel and other employees.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Follows established department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including adherence to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan. Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree
Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
Minimum Experience
3-5 years in hospital organizations working with clinical or administrative applications
Must have 2 years of software training experience with major hospital clinical or administrative systems
Requirements: Other
At least two years experience in a project leader/project management role; demonstrates knowledge of project and system life cycle
Experience: Other
Use of MS Excel or Access to manipulate information
Configure software using vendor provided software tools
SQL queries or report writing a plus
Preferred Candidates
Nurse with Significant Training Experience and Strong Writing Skills
Considerable Eclipsys Training Experience in Sunrise Patient Financial Manager, or Sunrise Enterprise Registration, or Sunrise Enterprise Scheduling, or Sunrise Record Manager Plus Solid Writing Skills
Clinical Lab Technologist/Therapist—Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Occupational Therapy, to Name a Few, Plus Substantial Training Experience and Great Writing Skills
