Job Summary:
The Nurse Clinical Content Specialist has the primary responsibility of enhancing both existing T-System EV nurse templates as well as designing new templates based on feedback from current users and directives within T-System. The position also involves assistance as needed with physician template enhancements.
Job Duties:
The Nurse Clinical Content Specialist will assist in the development of new nursing clinical content, as well as enhance current nursing content based on client requests and changes in clinical practice. The position will also involve assistance as needed with physician template enhancements. Clinical expertise is required to assist in the clinical quality review of both template design and clinical text output. An excellent understanding of nursing clinical workflow in the ED is essential. The individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently, and equally able to collaborate well with other members of the clinical content development team. S/he will provide interdepartmental nursing clinical support as needed. The individual may interact as necessary with existing or prospective clients as it pertains to nursing template design/redesign and/or clinical workflow. May also participate in training of new employees.
The ability to communicate effectively both oral and in writing is essential.
Essential Skills:
1. Seasoned RN or ARNP with a minimum of 10 years recent ED experience and a thorough understanding of ED nursing workflow
2. Knowledge of and experience with regulatory and reimbursement documentation requirements (ICD9, JCAHO, NPSG, etc)
3. Strong attention to detail
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Solid interpersonal skills and creative thinking abilities
6. Visual orientation with the ability to recognize and learn patterns that are logical, intuitive, and maximize efficiency
7. Above average computer skills with prior active involvement in health care IT. (*T-System EV user a plus*)
8. Preferred experience creating clinical content for health care IT applications
9. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and ability to learn and become proficient in T-System proprietary software
10. Must be able to work flexible hours and over-time as needed
