Implementation Consultant
The Implementation Consultant will work with leading hospitals in the country to implement electronic medical record and document management systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive Medical Software implementation experience, preferably in the Medical Records area or will have been an HIM Director/Manager/Supervisor or HIM Analyst with some level of information systems implementation experience. A keen understanding of the Healthcare/Hospital environment is required. This person must want to join an entrepreneurial organization and influence how this important business is grown.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing Pre-implementation and training services in support of Valco supplied hardware and software products, which run on NT and Windows '98, 2000 and XP
- Responsibility for developing and maintaining project related materials.
- The ability to communicate ideas and concepts through written and oral means is paramount.
- Providing customer support required to ensure project implementation success.
- Managing effective levels of communication with customers, service partners, subcontractors and employees to respond to customer inquiries.
- The ability to manage small to large size projects.
- This position will require 70%- 80% travel to customer sites domestically and in Canada.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven hospital operations experience, preferably in Patient Accounts, Medical Records or Information Services areas
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Working knowledge of MEDITECH's HIS systems
- Experience with document imaging in a Healthcare environment or knowledge of the MEDITECH HCIS is a plus.
- A successful record of managing customer relationships
- Expert customer relations and customer satisfaction management along with strong values regarding customer satisfaction
- Strong team based problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Good skills with the complete Microsoft Office toolset
- Familiarity with NT, Windows 2000 and TCP/IP a plus
- Understanding and comfort with the hospital culture
- Commitment, motivation, work ethic, integrity.
- Team player, capable of mastering individual responsibilities in collaboration with other individuals and organizations
- Dependability and flexibility, is required.
- Ability to get along with co-workers and supervisors
Education: Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience
This position is located in our Salem, NH office.
