Project Manager
The Delivery Project Manager manages the timely and cost effective implementation of software, hardware and services in support of Valco software products. Responsibility includes developing and maintaining project plans and other documentation, managing the delivery from Sales turnover to Support turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage timely, cost effective, successful implementations of the Company's software products.
- Plan resources necessary for the completion of all service and installation activities utilizing and coordinating activities with employees, other departments and service partners.
- Develop processes to ensure successful implementations by understanding the customer's environment and desired outcome of project.
- Monitor results.
- Track issues and develop plans to correct the implementation process immediately. Escalate problems for prompt resolution.
- Provide leadership and direction to delivery engineers, consultants, and coordinators.
- Empower staff to take ownership and be held accountable for project deliverables.
- Ensure that customer tasks are completed on schedule.
- Provide constant and dependable communication with customers as necessary.
- Negotiate sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Manage effective levels of communication with customers, service partners, subcontractors, and employees.
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a proven Technical Project Manager in an Information Systems environment.
- Must possess a core understanding of software technologies and systems integration solutions
- Knowledge of MEDITECH or HCIS is required
- Knowledge of optical technology and related technologies strongly desired
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project along with all Microsoft Office Products.
- Experience with Risk Analysis, Project Methodologies and project tracking tools.
- Commitment, motivation, strong work ethic, and integrity are key attributes
- Successful record of managing (external) customer relationships and developing reference sites.
- Strong team based, results oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with customers, principals, and other organizations.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Results oriented in approach to problem solving Requires negotiation and influencing skills in order to ensure timely deliveries.
- Knowledge of a hospital environment is required.
- Travel occasionally required domestically and in Canada
Education: Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience.
