We are looking for a Clinical Requirements Director and Physician Informaticist to join our growing team.
FUNCTION:
Leads the requirements’ specification and conceptual design work for all physician-related aspects of T-System’s “solutions” (products plus services), including medical content (medical content work being done in close conjunction with the Clinical Resources and Content Development department). Infuses his or her thought leadership as well as medical informatics expertise into all of our solutions.
Serves as Product Management’s physician liaison to all internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· MD or DO degree, with a masters degree in medical informatics, information systems, healthcare administration, business administration, or equivalent.
· Experience as a CMIO, who has dealt with the medical staff’s adoption and use of healthcare software.
· Medical practice experience that provides a basis to understand both episodic and longitudinal care workflows.
· Broad knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines as well as “evidence based medicine” approaches.
· Content development/knowledge engineering know-how.
· Requirements specification and conceptual design know-how.
· Able to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
· Organizational consensus builder, who works well on teams and without a need for close supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Requirements analyst for clinical analytics functionality, eliciting, analyzing, and specifying physician-related requirements – both functional and clinical content.
· Represent the “Voice of the physician” as well as the “Viewpoint of the CMIO” in conceptual design work.
· Insure that all T-System requirements and design work is consistent with relevant current and emerging healthcare IT standards.
· Provide market insight regarding the CMIO’s viewpoint, on all relevant market analysis work.
· Insure T-System compliance with regulatory guidelines and support for “evidence based medicine” initiatives.
